There's a nest in a tree in front of our house, and there are baby birds in the nest! Take a look:
Adorable! There are four of them, I think. They just sit there in the nest with their mouths open, waiting for food. We had to take a lot of photos from many angles, all the while risking pecks to the head if the mommy bird came back, but we finally got these two good ones. Those birds are well hidden in the tree.

Birdies have built a nest on our front porch by the light. We are grandbirds for the 2nd time this summer. I put a kitty litter box out front to catch birdie-poops as they stain concrete. Oh, the trials and tribulations of parenthood! :)
PS: I'm waiting until the end of summer to knock down the nest and *thoroughly* clean our front porch.
PPS: Ours are barn swallows (or mud swallows). What are your grandbirds?
They were some kind of small, gray birds. We saw the mommy bird once and she was pretty plain. They're gone now, but I hope another family moves in. Or the same family. I don't know how birds work.
Your mommy bird chose her nesting place well. I'm curious to know if she returns &/or if other birds find the spot.
I was thrilled when a robin built a nest on a windowsill outside the sunroom. We could watch the drama up close, very carefully, of course. I think the nest was too exposed because only one grew up & I saw it fly away. ( A mean, old crow was observed hovering around the nest soon after the babies hatched.)
Sometimes one wonders about Mother Nature.
Congrats on the wonderful photos!
