So we got out our pencils and markers and hunted down some accessories around the house and came up with.... drum roll, please....
The Kitty Sailing Game!
It is a 3-player game only. You have an orange cat, a black cat, and a white cat. The orange and black cats are both good and they sail around the board in boats (ie, bottlecaps). They both start together on the Start square. Here they are:

Then there's a white cat, who is mean. He starts on the opposite side of the board at the "Mean Start." Here he is:
The white cat is chasing the black and orange cats around the board and trying to pounce on them, steal their boats, and send them to the middle of the board. Once in the middle, the pounced cat must wait for the white cat to roll a 1 or a 2 and then they can pounce back on the white cat and send him back to Mean Start. If the orange or black cat can get to Finish before the white cat gets to Mean Finish, they win. Here's another shot of the board with the white cat and black and orange cats in their respective starting squares:

We played one game and it went well, but there were a few too many rules and scenarios. Greg was our first uninitiated player and he was a bit confused, but I think he had fun.

How cute. Talk about involved parents! She's a much loved girl.
When you're an only child and you're off school for two weeks, it gets a little boring.
You are the best Mommy ever!
