So, last night Ellie told me that Manfred hit her in the back at school and she responded by pulling his hair. They were sent to the nurse's office together, which is probably what both of them wanted anyway---a little time alone with each other.
We will keep an eye on this budding relationship and hope that their love for each other doesn't cause any permanent damage.
